The 20-year-old driver of the singing sensation Lebo Mathosa - killed in a road accident this week - might not attend the star's memorial service, Mathosa's sister said today. "We're keeping in touch with him. He's in counselling.

.. he was a good friend to Lebo and nobody blames him for her death," Queen Mathosa told Sapa.

The driver, identified as "Nhlanhla" by The Sowetan newspaper, was reportedly in seclusion with family and friends to keep him away from media attention. "He is still in shock and not ready to face the world, not at all," said a source. "We'll look into speed and try to determine the speed of the vehicle before the accident occurred.

We'll interview witnesses and check the position of the passenger and the car after impact," said "There will be a service at Sandton Convention Centre on Thursday at noon and one at Benoni city hall at 8am on Saturday," said Mathosa's publicist Linzi Cowley. "Lebo has a lot of friends in the music industry that want to pay respect to her," she said. She could not confirm who would attend and if any would pay tribute to Mathosa in song.

Mathosa's sister said the Kwaito and Rhythm and Blues singer would be buried on Saturday after the memorial service. "After the service [at Benoni city hall] the family will leave to go to the cemetery," said Queen Mathosa. Mathosa, 29, was killed on the N3 Highway near Germiston on Monday morning.
