Bob Dylan praises Twyla Tharp musical

Tharp, 65, crafted the show around 27 carefully chosen Dylan songs, the "CBS Evening News" reported Tuesday. Tharp told anchor Katie Couric on Monday it was challenging to build around the balladeer's protest songs of the 1960s and come up with a show "relevant to right now without becoming sentimental or nostalgic about the '60s," CBS said. Tharp -- who won a Tony Award for her Billy Joel-based musical "Movin' Out" -- said Dylan and Broadway fans should be prepared to see something "different.

" It could even be billed as "Dylan meets Cirque du Soleil," CBS noted.
