On his Sirius Shade 45 channel tomorrow, Eminem will debut a new track from his Shady Records label's upcoming compilation, Eminem Presents: The Re-Up. Em will appear on Shade 45 at 4 pm. ET to premiere the song and also celebrate the second anniversary of Shade 45.


More details have emerged in Yoko Ono's over unpaid royalties from John Lennon's catalog. Billboard reports that Ono only filed a three-page document to keep her rights to ongoing discussions with the label, which were set to expire soon. She is not planning a full lawsuit against EMI and Capitol.

Don Henley will be honored as the 2007 MusiCares Person of the Year during Grammy week. Henley is being acknowledged for his exceptional professional achievements as well as his commitment to a range of philanthropic causes from environmental issues to artists' rights concerns. Proceeds from the annual MusicCares Grammy Week gala, which will be held on February 9, 2007, provide support for MusiCares, which ensures that music people have a place to turn in times of financial, medical and personal need.

Bassist Jason Newsted has been forced to drop off the debut tour from Rock Star Supernova due to a shoulder injury. The bassist will have to undergo surgery and will not be able to join the band and new singer Lukas Rossi on the road. The tour is set to kick off on New Years Eve in Las Vegas.

"Jason was always the right guy for this band and we?ll miss having him with us as we kick off our album and tour, but we know he?ll be back as soon as he can pick up and play," said drummer Tommy Lee, according to USA Today.

"As for who will handle bass duties until then, we?ve got a few monster guys in mind, any one of which can hit the ground running."

You may have heard this before, but once again Frank Black says that the Pixies are planning a new studio album. He tells the NME that the band has booked rehearsal time in January to begin working towards a new record. Black says, "Since we got back together we've played almost everywhere we can.

I know we like playing and everyone likes touring together, so to keep doing that and not record anything is kind of like being a county fair band. We don't want to do that, so the only thing we can do is become a vital band again. So it's just a matter of doing it, I guess.
