Normally we would post a Tonight in Rock in LA list at this time, but in honor of the National Day of Mourning, most of the clubs have shut down for the night and those of us who like, let's say, the Dark Side of Things are celebrating with a Black Parade.
This Saturday My Chemical Romance returns to LA, this time not in the cozy sunset strip club of the House of Blues, but in the rocking arena of the Great Western Forum. That's right My Chem has made it to the big time!
Wake up early on Saturday because tickets go on sale at 10am for their March 10th Forum show and their March 11th Anaheim Arena gig. Both nights Rise Against! will open up for the kings of emo (take that FOB)!

About 40,000 people who will sell out those venues in about 10 minutes.
As for blogvertisements, LAist has no problem making money, we have ads all over this site, we don't need to put any in the content.
Every week we announce dozens of concerts. In many ways announcing concerts and talking about music is one of the things we do better than any other LA blog.
I'm sure you wouldn't be bitching if we just let you know that Clay Aiken tickets were gonna go on sale on Saturday, so take it easy on us announcing this.
