Anyone who doubts that truth is stranger than fiction should check out David Crosby's second memoir, "Since Then: How I Survived Everything and Lived to Tell About It" (Putnam, 26.95).
Consider what Crosby has survived since 1988: an earthquake, motorcycle wreck, liver transplant, arrest for marijuana and gun possession, and the loss of nearly all his money.
Then there's the reunion with his son who was given up for adoption in 1961, his donation of sperm to Melissa Etheridge and her partner, Julie Cypher, and the suicide of his estranged older brother.
