NEW YORK -- You could call these four new CDs "The Greatest Hits of Broadway Leading Ladies."
For fans of Barbara Cook, Angela Lansbury, Bernadette Peters and Chita Rivera, it is an opportunity to get some of their greatest musical-theater moments all in one place. The series, issued by Sony Classics, goes under the collective title of "Legends of Broadway.

A look at the famous faces making headlines in movies, music and more.
And on these discs, you can hear Cook sing songs from "Candide," "The Music Man," "The Gay Life," "She Loves Me, "Follies" and more. Lansbury weighs in with numbers from such shows as "Anyone Can Whistle," "Mame," "Gypsy," "Dear World" and "Sweeney Todd.

Peters celebrates, among others, "Dames at Sea," "Sunday in the Park With George," "Song and Dance" and "Mack Mabel." And Rivera, of course, is represented by "West Side Story," "Bye Bye Birdie," "Bajour," "Chicago" and "Kiss of the Spider Woman."
