Chemical Brothers Grab A Grammy!

Music awards shows may come and go, but the Grammys remain The Oscars of the music industry, representing the entire music spectrum from classical, country and gospel to rock, rap and reggae. This year' Best Electronic/Dance Album went to The Chemical Brothers for the excellent 'Push The Button' record. Tom and Ed also won a Grammy for Best Dance Recording for their 'Galvanize' track featuring Q-Tip.

The Queen of Pop herself, Madonna, opened up the show by performing a duet with Gorillaz, who bagged the Grammy for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals for 'Feel Good Inc' featuring De La Soul. U2 were the biggest winners, capturing five Grammys including Album of the year for the disc 'How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb', beating out Mariah Carey's best-selling 'The Emancipation of Mimi' as well as Paul McCartney's 'Chaos and Creation in the Backyard,' Gwen Stefani's 'Love. Angel.

' However, Kanye West won Best Rap Solo Performance, Best Rap Album and Best rap song whilst Mariah Carey got the awards for Best Female, R B Vocal Performance, as well as Best Contemporary R B Album! First-ever "American Idol" winner, Kelly Clarkson won Best Female Pop Vocal Performance.
