The Signature Theatre Company scored earlier in the season with a revival of August Wilson's "Seven Guitars."
Now its Wilson celebration continues with "Two Trains Running," opening Dec. 3 at the theater's Peter Norton Space on W.
42nd Street near 11th Avenue. Preview performances begin Nov. 7.
The play, seen on Broadway in 1992, tells the story of a group of dreamers who congregate in a dilapidated Pittsburgh restaurant scheduled for demolition. Wilson, who died of liver cancer last year, set "Two Trains Running" in 1969. It's part of his 10-play cycle looking at the black American experience in each decade of the 20th century, one play for each decade.
The cast includes Leon Addison Brown, Chad L. Coleman, Frankie Faison, Arthur French, Ron Cephas Jones, January LaVoy and Ed Wheeler. The director is Lou Bellamy, who runs the Penumbra Theatre in St.
Paul, Minn.
