Sir Paul McCartney has had to hold back his daughter Stella from going off on Heather Mills, after she made claims that her father was violent to her mum.
Stella was ready to confront Mills face-to-face for allegedly telling a friend her dad abused his first wife Linda during their 30-year marriage.
According to reports McCartney told his eight-months pregnant daughter that he did not want any more mud-slinging and that it was better to remain dignified at all times.
Paul and Linda's marriage is widely accepted to be the most loving in showbiz history. Linda pasted away in 1998 from breast cancer.
