The North American premiere of Louise Archambault's Familia will kick off the Toronto International Film Festival's Canada First! section this year, organizers announced Tuesday. Planners also revealed a number of notable Canadian films in various fest sections.

This is exactly one of my principle objections to Carcassonne. Someone who obtains that kind of knowledge is going to have a definite advantage in the game. I don't like feeling obligated to do that kind of analysis and memorization in order to succeed.
And apparently I'm not the only one: there have been several other players who have made reference to house rules that remove a certain number of tiles from the game without looking at them. Removing three tiles seems to be a common theme. In this manner, you can limit the advantage that a "tile counter" might enjoy.
