REAL estate shopping by helicopter is the newest way to buy property for wealthy investors.
The businessman, who will move with his family to Melbourne, walked into Jellis Craig's Armadale offices, said he had more than $3 million and wanted to buy immediately.
Jellis Craig director Scott Patterson said the man didn't have time to look around by car so he hired a helicopter.
It cost him about $2000 and he checked out several addresses, Mr Patterson said. He wanted to see where the houses were in relation to local amenities.
The man took aerial photographs of the houses and decided on the Goodall St property.
He then did an old-fashioned inspection of the three bedrooms-plus study home and bought it within two days.
