Originally, both Paris Hilton and Britney Spears were set to host this year's Billboard Awards in what seemed like an incredibly cruel joke on television watchers everywhere. Now that Paris has backed out and Britney's going solo, however, it's hard to tell which would have been worse: the pair of bleached blonds or the former Mrs.
K-Fed on her own. Regardless, tune in for performances by the Killers, Gwen Stefani and The Fray; stay for the unintentional humor provided by your host.
Tuesday pick:
"Santa Claus is Coming to Town," airing at 8 p.m. on ABC.
Featuring the voices of Fred Astaire and Mickey Rooney, this earnest holiday classic features a mailman who imparts a Christmas legends about the origins of Kris Kringle.
Made in 1970, its so much better than that Japanimation junk that passes for holiday entertainment today.
Wednesday pick:
"Twentyfourseven," airing at 10:30 p.m. on MTV.
America's fascination with Tinseltown celebrities has reached ridiculous heights, and MTV is hoping that curiosity extends to would-be celebs as well.
