The Body Artist; Don DeLillo, 2001

Rather than the usual sweeping cultural themes that are expected in his novels, DeLillo has instead authored a minimalist 124 page read of a woman performance artist, Lauren, mourning the suicide of her husband, a formerly successful movie director who suffered from depression.
