3, espeically for Dee Snider's "House of Hair" show. CDs: I mostly like classic heavy metal, but some newer bands like Edguy, Andrew WK and The Donnas are getting some time in my CD player. Local Bands: None.
I play in a local band, but if I'm not at one of my own gigs, you'll be hard-pressed to find me at a local music venue. What are you watching? (TV, Tivo, movies, live performances, etc.
) Battlestar Galactica and The Simpsons. The Family Guy is also pretty fun. It's actually hard to find a good movie these days.
Where do like to spend money? Book stores, because I read everything I can get my hands on. REI, for clothes and outdoor gear.
AJ's, because I like to cook,and it's hard to buy a better piece of fish to throw on the grill. Adventure Bicycle Company, because they have great bike gear. Well, dates are a little different now that I'm married.
But our "dates" usually start off in the afternoon...
usually with a hard mountain or road bike ride. Then after we freshen up, we go someplace and eat everything in sight. We like ethnic food, so that's usually what we look for.
..Ethiopian, Thai, Korean and Vietnamese are favorites.
What's your best tip for keeping cool? Don't be afraid of the heat. Drink some water, dress right and get out in the heat instead of being a little chicken scurrying from one air-conditioned spot to another.
What's your favorite guilty pleasure in the Valley? Guilt is for the weak. Still, I hang my head a bit if I eat too much
