As part of the CMJ Music Marathon, local songwriting talent Vega (best known for her 1981 uptown-restaurant ode Tom's Diner ) shares a great bill with Keren Ann and whimsical Californian duo the Bird and the Bee. Ann, an Israeli-French chanteuse who could easily pack the venue on her own, performs dreamy, whispery songs that have made her a hit with indie types. The Bird and the Bee is comprised of sweet-voiced singer Inara George and multi-instrumentalist Greg Kurstin; together, the pair crafts cute, timeless pop for fans of bands like Broadcast and Ladytron.
