Ballet Utah, Athena Dance Company, and the Orem High Drama Club will present a dance concert, "Love Seats for Pamela," at 7 p.m. on Monday at the Orem High School auditorium.

The concert of classical ballet, jazz, and hip-hop is a benefit for Pamela Beavers, a dance teacher who was struck by a car in October of 1994 as she was crossing State Street in Lindon while walking to Academy of Ballet.
Tickets are available for a $5 donation from Academy of Ballet, 225-1775, or at the door.
Proceeds from the fundraiser will help pay the $1,500 cost for Beaver to enter a research treatment program at the University of Utah designed to help brain tissue heal.

In addition, she needs several corrective surgery procedures.
Beavers, a mother of five, was teaching ballet to help put her husband through college when the accident occurred. Her subsequent hospital stay was almost five months, and her ballet training became a key to her recovery.

While she is still healing, Beavers is now able to give back. Once a week, she teaches a young girl who has spinal muscular atrophy and has always wanted to learn ballet.
Donations also can be made at any Wells Fargo Bank to the Pamela Beavers Benefit Fund.
