ldquo;Make Your Song rdquo; follows a young man rsquo;s quest to write his breakthrough musical masterpiece. The man finds inspiration in songs from award-winning musicals woven throughout the revue. The musical numbers assist him in finally writing his ldquo;first song rdquo; which concludes this year rsquo;s show.

ldquo;From small town U.S.A.

to a county spelling bee and even an insane asylum, this year rsquo;s Centennial Singers musical revue will shake things up and have something audiences of many ages can enjoy, rdquo; first-year Director Thomas Castro says.
Castro, who was a member of Centennial Singers from 1993-2002 while he completed degrees in theatre and dance and marketing, is the group rsquo;s interim director while the UW College of Arts and Sciences conducts a national search for a permanent replacement for General McArthur Hambrick.
The group was formed in 1986 for the centennial celebration of UW rsquo;s founding.

In 1989, the group was recruited by the state of Wyoming to promote the Wyoming Centennial and ever since has performed a different musical revue each year on tours throughout the United States.
ldquo; As a former Centennial Singer myself, I rsquo;m especially excited for the new members to experience the group rsquo;s strong camaraderie on tour and help bring professional musical theatre to communities that might not otherwise get the opportunity, rdquo; Castro says.
From the beginning, students have been responsible for every aspect of the show, both in front of and behind the curtain.

UW students from a variety of majors and backgrounds come together to create a professional, two-act performance and take the show on the road during university breaks.
Centennial Singers performs for elementary and secondary students, the public, UW alumni and university functions, and also holds clinics for public school music groups.
