Starting a few days ago, one of the web s top browsers, Opera, became available for Nintendo s Wii gaming console. On the Wii menu, it comes up as the Internet Channel - Trial Version.
This isn t at all a trial version though its the beta version.

There are no other versions available, and when it showed up as Trial Version on my screen, it did make me a bit confused. However, it is a free download that can be found in the Wii Store.
The full version is expected in March, 2007, and will be a free download until Summer, 2007, when users who want it will have to pay with Wii Points (the Wii store s currency 1 point = 1 penny).

For now, it is very fast, has zoom and scroll options, and even has a Macromedia Flash plug-in included. Some of my favorite flash games that are controlled by the mouse can be played on the Wii now. Very big possibilities!
