Folk music has always been part of my life. I can remember my mother singing to me as an infant. I grew up during the folk revival.

I remember Captain Kangaroo sharing popular songs like "Lemon Tree", "Hole in the Bucket" and other songs that would leave a huge impression. As I grew older I became aware of Bob Dylan, Simon Garfunkel, and eventually I was led to Woody Guthrie. By the time I reached college I was hooked.

On my first day at Fairleigh Dickinson University, I joined the radio station - WFDU-FM. Within a few years I would develop the folk music radio program TRADITIONS which debuted in 1980, a show which I continue to host to this day (now alongside Bill Hahn). We are proud to be Sing Out!

Magazine Radio Partners. I also host THE SESSION,heard Fridays at noon on WFDU. My involvement with folk music continues to grow, as my ramblings will make evident in this blog.

I am also the booker for the Hurdy Gurdy Folk Music Club. I have served as the chairperson for the formal showcase committee for the North East Regional Folk Music Alliance. If you see me serving as an emcee at a local folk festival or club, please stop by to say hello!
