The Oroville Eagles and the Oroville Rhinos have joined forces and are announcing the first Mini-Bell game on Sunday, Nov. 5. The games will start at 11 a.

m., 1 p.m.

, 3 p.m. and 5 p.

m. Ticket prices will be $6 a family, $3 per adult and $1 for children. Any high school player wearing his uniform will be admitted free.

The Rhinos will host the game and just like the high schools, the two teams will take turns hosting the event in the future. "John actually approached me after the J.J.

Stokes camp (this summer)," Rice said. "It's taken some time to nail down a date that works for both of us with playoffs and cheerleading competitions." Although the two teams are members of different organizations this year, the Eagles are petitioning to join NorCalFed next season so that the Mini-Bell Game would be a regular season event.

"John has really turned things around with the Eagles," Rice said. "We know that the more kids playing football the better it is for the community and for both high schools." "It's all about the parents.

We have a great board made up of the parents that have really made the difference," Glaspie said. "We're the up and comers," Glaspie said. "The main goal of these programs is to teach these kids how to be young men and women.

" Along with the game festivities, Rice said there will be a punt, pass and kick competition held at the little league fields next to the stadium. Rice said that in the future he hoped that there would be additional activities and events, but that there was just not much time to put this first event together. "I have witnessed Jerry (and the Rhinos) slapping this event together and it's quite impressive," Glaspie said.

"It should be a great day and I don't think we (the Eagles) could have gotten things together to host this first year." There will also be commemorative T-shirts, sweatshirts and posters on sale, Rice said. "If someone wants to be a Rhino they can be a Rhino, if they want to play for the Eagles they can," he said.
