FREDERICTON, New Brunswick, Dec. 27 (UPI) -- A Canadian archeologist plans a dig in New Brunswick after a woman learned a spearhead she found there was 10,000 years old.
Joan Rennick found a spearhead seven years ago at Cape Spear and thought it would be a good piece of jewelry, so she kept it, the Canadian Broadcasting Corp.

reported.
"I put it in a little bracket and wore it around my neck for the last seven years," said Rennick.
The spearhead is about 13 centimeters long and is made of a dark rock.

Rennick subsequently saw a spear head in National Geographic that looked very similar to hers, and began to understand how old hers could be.
