The Dragons have made one change from the team due to meet the Scarlets in last week's postponed match for the Blues' league visit to Rodney Parade. Wing Gareth Wyatt is in for Aled Brew, while Nic Fitisemanu and Mike Hercus come onto the bench. The Blues make six changes from the team that beat the Ospreys, Wayne Evans in at nine for Mike Phillips (wrist).

James Goode, John Yapp, Taufaao Filise, Gareth Williams and Rhys Shellard come into a pack missing Gethin Jenkins. Jenkins has a calf strain, while Shellard steps in for the suspended Martyn Williams. The Cardiff side are still waiting to hear the date of Williams' hearing following his red card against the Ospreys, but they say that an automatic ban has already kicked in.

The Dragons lost both their derby games with the Blues last season, but coach Paul Turner believes he has a stronger squad this year. "We are expecting a great game against them just after Christmas in front of a bumper crowd," said Turner.

  • The Dragons will take to the field in orange in support of MS Cymru to raise awareness of the disease.

  • A limited amount of shirts have been made for the fixture, 40 in total, with some being auctioned and others raffled and all money raised going to the MS society.
