All ten of the towns in the UK delivering the biggest price rises over the past year are located in Northern Ireland. Newry, the fourth largest city in Northern Ireland, recorded a record rise of 54 per cent in the past year. The demand for housing in Northern Ireland comes amid high employment rates and the influx of second homebuyers and investors, attracted by the competitive prices.
Northern Ireland's domination of the top ten comes after 2005 was deemed to be Scotland's year.
