Though not nominated, Blink-182 will help launch the 1999 MTV Video Music Awards festivities by performing live at the ceremony's lead-in show, "Opening Act," along with Smash Mouth. Prior to the band's rehearsals for the pre-show, MTV News caught up with Blink-182 guitarist and vocalist Tom Delonge, who talked about sensual nature of the group's new single, "All the Small Things," and the boy-band mockery of its accompanying video. Delonge explained to MTV News.
"It's like a little romantic theme for all the guys out there that wish they had a girl, or have a girl and they need a song just to have sex to. It's a good sexual song." "So, we made a video for it," he continued, Catch all the sizzlin', star-packed VMA action direct from Miami on August 28.
