Snow Patrol are up for two top gongs in this year's Q music awards.
The Northern Irish indie band are shortlisted in the categories Best Album for the chart-topping Eyes Open and Best Single with Chasing Cars.
Also in the running for Best Album are Keane with Under The Iron Sea, Arctic Monkeys for Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not, Muse's Black Holes and Revelations and Kasabian's Empire.
In the Best Single category Snow Patrol will battle it out with Gnarls Barkley's Crazy, I Don't Feel Like Dancin' by Scissor Sisters, I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor by Arctic Monkeys and Never Be Lonely by The Feeling.
Irish supergroup U2 are up for the Q Best Act in the World Today award alongside Muse, Coldplay and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Arctic Monkeys lead the way with four nominations while Muse received three.
The winners of the awards will be announced on October 30.
The double nomination for Snow Patrol coincides with the news that the band will play the reopened G-Mex in Manchester on December 15 as part of their UK arena tour.
They will be the first act to play the newly opened venue, which was last used by Oasis during the Be Here Now tour in 1997.
Snow Patrol are already playing Manchester Evening News Arena but decided to add on another date due to demand for tickets.
The band, who have enjoyed a hugely successful year with a number one album, their highest placed single to date and a tour of North America, will be returning to Northern Ireland on December 21, when they play the Odyssey Arena.
Meanwhile, Snow Patrol kicked off their European tour earlier this week in Copenhagen, Denmark, dedicating one of their songs to the Northern Ireland football team.
Frontman Gary Lightbody said: "We're only a tiny, small, little country and we beat Spain the other day.
"This song is for the Northern Ireland football team. I love them," he added.
