Muse have been confirmed as one of the acts to support My Chemical Romance on their upcoming US tour, according to Gigwise.
American punk rockers Rise Against will also support the band at a number of shows.
My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way explained to Billboard how the shows will have the right balance between music and theatre.
He said: "We're going to retain the essence of rock in the show. It's not going to be like seeing (Pink Floyd's) The Wall.
"It's going to bring the music and the band and the record to life.
It's going to be theatrical without detracting from the music; it's not going to be surface over substance."
The band are set to return to Europe in the Spring.
