Motorist hits teen, drives away; pot found on Ferndale students Car hits teen: A 17-year-old male Oak Park resident was hit while riding a bike Dec. 18 around 3:30 p.m.

at West Hazlehurst and Central, police said. Witnesses said a teenage boy in a Chevrolet TrailBlazer was talking to friends, then got in his vehicle, and hit the other teen. The teen who was hit was uninjured, but his bike was lodged underneath the truck.

The driver stopped, asked if the teen was OK, and then left the scene without leaving contact information. He ran over the bike again as he was leaving. Witnesses believe he is a student at Ferndale High School.

Marijuana: An off-duty Ferndale officer was jogging near Taft Educational Center, 427 Allen, around 9 a.m. Dec.

14 when he saw two youths smoking what appeared to be a marijuana cigarette. He escorted them to the school and on-duty officers were called. Police reportedly confiscated .

4 grams of marijuana from the male teens, a 19-year-old from Canton and a 17-year-old from Detroit. Both are students at the school. More marijuana: A 27-year-old Detroit man was stopped for speeding and arrested for possession of marijuana around 9 p.

m. Dec. 13, police said.

The man was stopped on Woodward after he turned from Eight Mile, going 50 mph in a 35 mph zone. The driver drove through a construction zone lane, and was stopped. Police found out his license had been suspended and arrested him.

The driver also had warrants out of Detroit and the Michigan State Police, police said. Police reportedly found an open liter of Grey Goose vodka and two bags of marijuana weighing 2.4 grams in his car.

The vehicle was impounded. He was cited for possession of marijuana, suspended license and open intoxicants. He was charged with a second offense for driving with a suspended license, which carries a one-year penalty and stiffer fines.

Booze stolen: Police reported that a woman in her 30s entered the Rite Aid at 1301 W. 14 Mile Road and stole an unknown amount of bottled alcohol Dec. 16.

Officers have no suspects. Pirate radio: A Clawson man whose Pontiac G6 was in an apartment parking lot in the 200 block of North Marais Avenue reportedly had his XM satellite radio stolen at about 1 a.m.

Dec. 17. According to police, the radio was valued at $100.

Drunken driving arrest: A Royal Oak woman reportedly was stopped for drunken driving and insulted Berkley cops for arresting her after allegedly almost hitting a bus and lying about how much she had to drink at around 1:45 a.m. Dec.

16. Royal Oak dispatch notified Berkley of a possible drunken driver. When the Berkley officer spotted the black Volkswagen at Woodward Avenue and 11 Mile Road, the car was drifting in and out of lanes, the driver's side taillight was out and the car swerved to avoid rear ending a bus while the officer was following it, police said.

The driver of the car was a 34-year-old Royal Oak woman with a Florida driver's license. She said she had moved to Michigan three months ago. She said she had left her boss's house and then later said she was at Dick O'Dow's in Birmingham, where she had been drinking, police said.

First she said she had only had one drink, then later changed her story to having two beers and a shot, police said. She reportedly told the officer she takes anti-depressants and knew she should not have been drinking while on her medication. She failed to properly perform field sobriety tests, police said, and her blood alcohol content was .

139 -- the legal limit is .08. Once at the station, she became verbally abusive, police said.

She told the arresting officer that she had heard that all Berkley cops were Nazis, police said. She said she was an Army veteran and she had saved lives. She told the officer he was ruining her life, then told him she wished he knew how much she wanted to beat him up and gave him the middle finger, police said.

The woman was cited with operating while intoxicated, improper lane use, defective equipment and failure to change address. Car accident: A 41-year-old Birmingham woman rear ended another vehicle after leaving the Berkley Front on Dec. 15 around 11:30 p.

m., police said. She told the officer that she looked down to dial her cell phone when she was driving on 12 Mile Road near Oakshire.

When she looked up, it was too late to stop to avoid hitting the car that stopped in front of her. The driver in front was waiting in traffic to turn into 7-Eleven. The woman registered a blood alcohol content of .

096, police said. She was arrested for operating while intoxicated and ticketed for failure to stop within assured distance.
