"Rent" will be presented at 7:30 p.

m. Nov. 6 and 7 at the Knoxville Civic Auditorium.

The musical is based on Puccini's "La Boheme," a story of the lives and loves of starving artists in 19th-century Paris. "Rent" is credited with attracting a younger generation to Broadway.

The musical celebrated its 10th anniversary in April and is currently the seventh-longest-running Broadway musical. Tickets for the Civic Auditorium performances are $20, $48 and $58 at Tickets Unlimited outlets (865-656-4444) and .
