com. PORTSMOUTH -- If you're looking to give back to the community while gearing up for the holidays, the Unitarian Universalist Church on State Street in Portsmouth is the place to be this weekend.
Grammy Award-winning guitarist Ed Gerhard and guest Bill Mize are asking attendees of Gerhard's annual Christmas guitar concert to bring non-perishable food items to help support the Family Service Food Pantry this year.
Those who donate will receive a $1 coupon toward the purchase of Gerhard's compact discs.
The two guitarists will perform holiday favorites as well as selected solo pieces.
In addition to helping the food pantry, Gerhard will donate a portion of the proceeds from the concerts to ACT ONE, which advances the cause of live theater and performances in New Hampshire.
