What started as an argument at a West Side nightclub exploded in gun violence at an East Side apartment complex early yesterday, leaving a young mother dead and four men wounded. Police were searching yesterday for the gunman, who they say is Rene S.

Villanueva, 18, of 755 Stelzer Rd., Lot 1322. Villanueva has been charged with one count of murder in the death of Brenda B.

Delrio-Pizano, 24, and four counts of assault in the wounding of four men who were with her. According to police, Delrio-Pizano was with a group of friends who had spent Sunday night at the Aquarius Dance Club on Sullivant Avenue. While there, an argument broke out between them and another group of people.

Delrio-Pizano and her friends left the club and returned to the Gateway Apartments near Stelzer Road, just west of Port Columbus, where she lived. They were socializing in the parking lot in front of her building at 3280 E. 6 th St.

about 3:50 a.m. when a group of men, including Villanueva, pulled up, police said.

A Columbus police officer nearby heard the gunfire. She rushed to the area and found all of the victims in the lot with gunshot wounds to their upper bodies, police said. Delrio-Pizano was already dead.

Wounded were Jose L. Bermudez, 19; Alfredo Robles, 22; Rodriguez Robles, 16; and Gregorio Solis-Arteaga, 32. Bermudez and Solis-Arteaga were taken to Ohio State University Medical Center, where staff members would not provide condition reports.

Police said both were transported in stable condition. Police did not say whether Alfredo and Rodriguez Robles are related. Both were listed in serious condition at Grant Medical Center.
