Zero Degrees, a recent work choreographed and performed by Akram Khan and Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, begins as a straightforward dance-theater piece, with two people telling the story of shared experiences traveling through India and across borders. The 75-minute work was given its only U.S.
performance last night at the Wexner Center for the Arts. The performers come onstage, sit front and center facing the audience, and begin speaking and moving in unison. The initial effect is sometimes comical, as the hand gestures are a little too fast and a little too exaggerated.
