I'm tryin to fly out to Sturgis in like the week of..slightly before Rally time, like 1 week prior.

You nearby or in that area then? My Bro rides out, doesn't like the crowds. He's the one suggested week before.

My time to be 120 mph in business. So, plans are fly out, rent a scoot for 5-6 days, fly back. Never been there on a bike or for pleasure.

Lookin forward to it. Offers a good one for out here, awesome ridin, little traffic. Bomber- - BY: Dec 6, 06 9:14 PM

  • HOLY COW opie, we got some good huntin tips here.

Wait till I tell the crew about this shit. First, we don't need those foolish tree stands no more, second, we're gonna bait em to bringem in close. So, this guy Dragsta's suggests, we find a thing called a deer tunnel.

Yea, I hadn't heard of one either. We take the camo personel carrier, the one that's all camoed. Sit right in it.

Oh, Oh, forgot an important part, gotta spread all kinds of food fer critters. Start w/peanut butter sandwichs, thatall bring in tha smallens. apples and corn, bring in tha bars and deer, ifin we're lucky maybe a mountain lion or some such thang.

Here's tha good part. We're gonna sit nice an warm, one of us can snooze even, and blast tha shit outa what ever comes thru that pipe thingy. A thought that came to mind was that this Dragsta feller says he's real careful at nite, so bring lites, lotsa lights, big fuckin lites, ammo, don't forget to bring shitloads of ammo, beer, lotsa beer.

Maybe tha gals ill git into to this, the ideas are justa runnin like moon at yer cousin reds weddin. Thanks Drag, yer a pal fer life. I'll send you a few critters when we gits it all together.

    - BY: Nov 25, 06 9:21 PM

  • Use saltlicks and corn all summer long. At least they'll be nice n fat when you double-lung em and won't run far. - BY: Nov 25, 06 6:59 PM
  • Na, that's to much work and a waste of gas.

I prefer canned, remote control rifle hunts. Putting bullets into the chests of tame, exotic animals from thousands of miles away is sheer joy. With another click of the mouse, the animal is stuffed and brought to your door to be mounted on your wall.

    - BY: Nov 25, 06 2:39 PM

  • A deer underpass? Sounds like a good place to hunt. Park the truck, sit on the overpass.

    ..POW!

!Thanks, Dragsta! That's some good info!

    - BY: Nov 25, 06 2:23 PM

  • almost hit a m/c tonight running from the hounds, scared the shit out of me! why don't those damned things slow down during hunting season? - BY: Nov 25, 06 9:44 AM
  • Know what's worse?

I usta have a Red Ryder BB gun, put yer eye out, so, please use them w/care and lockem up when not in use. additional note - always store the ammo (BB's) and the gun (BB) in seperate gun safe. Lastly, remember tha 4 rules of good gun handlin.

    A) The gun is ALWAYS loaded. B) whatever your muzzle is lookin at is to be destroyed. C) Off target, off trigger, on target, on trigger and D) Always be sure of your backstop.

Hope this helps and thanks for the deer tips. I'll pass them along to the game folks at the statehouse. - BY: Nov 25, 06 9:26 AM

  • The underpasses that they talk about in the link below, work.

I encourage everybody to contact their local commissioners to install these things to save wildlife AND bikers. Hell, a deer can even kill you by coming through the windshield of your car. - BY: Nov 25, 06 9:02 AM

  • I slow way down when I'm riding in the country at night and dusk for just that reason.

It's a serious threat. They need animal crossing culverts put under roads. If you see a deer cross in front of you safely, SLOW DOWN, because there will be another coming.

Also the deer that just crossed can sometimes turn around and run back in front of you. - BY: Nov 25, 06 8:55 AM

  • almost hit a deer tonight riding home from work. scared the shit out of me!

why dont those damned things look before running out in the road - BY: Nov 25, 06 12:53 AM

  • Chopper - Tenderloins and chops on tha menu? Maybe I'll send ya some if yer short. - BY: Nov 24, 06 10:19 PM
  • Yeah, I think you'll need pontoons and some paddle wheels before you need snow tires.

  • I didn't say that dogs were as complex as humans and I'm damned glad that they are not. - BY: Nov 17, 06 2:00 PM
  • Look, I dunno where you got that "dogs" are as complex as humans, but you're out of your expertise here, and I presume--in it just for the argument. You may think that your "Fido" has parallel thought patterns.

..and if he had the ability to "speak" you two might be able to discuss string theory.

Look, we're different. Don't expect to understand me. In fact, my suggestion is; don't expect to understand "anybody", you're just not that "qualified", Skippy!

    - BY: Nov 17, 06 1:02 PM

  • My dogs act on emotion and to keep them from getting into trouble, I have to train them to not act on this basic instinct. If you routinely let your emotions rule your actions, you will end up back in the pokey in no time flat. Yer smarter than the average knuckle dragger, so I ain't buyin it.

. I am passionate about many issues. But my passion is tempered by logic and reason.

My emotional side is kept in check by my logical side, and corrections from my mom. lol..

.. Im not a pacifist by any stretch of the imagination.

I just have a strong sense of injustice and I dont allow prejudice and emotion to interfere with that. - BY: Nov 16, 06 7:29 PM

  • Human feelings have never been set by logic. We do things because of who we are.

..not because of what makes sense.

I've heard you speak emotionally about things you feel passionate about...

so don't give me this "get over it" shit. You didn't walk in my shoes..

.save your advice for your pacifist friends.
