V-Dub to Rock Metro Detroit

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Dec. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- You may not see Slash or recent V- dubs rock commercials, but you'll see plenty of musicians in downtown Pontiac "Rockin' the D," a guitar solo contest sponsored by Metro Detroit Volkswagen dealers.

The event will be held at iLounge located at 65 E. Huron Street in Pontiac on Saturday, December 9, 2006 from 8:00 p.m.

- two well-known local bands, Not For Sal and Paper Street Saints. The contestants will have 10 minutes to set up, sound check and perform to a selection of pre-recorded tracks. Their performances will be rated by on a 2007 Volkswagen Jetta Wolfsburg edition model (MSRP $20,435).
