East Coast troupes have done "Christmas of Swing" in workshops, said Dan Murphy, general manager of Broadway Rose. Others have staged "Sisters of Swing," which spans several years in the singers' careers. The holiday show is set in a 1944 dress rehearsal for a USO tour.
After July, Harrison, Kelly and Baldwin-Sayre were eager to begin rehearsing for the holiday show, despite the demands of their day jobs. Harrison is part-owner and manager of a freight management company. Kelly has been a dental office coordinator.
Baldwin-Sayre is a naturopath.
"It's my passion," Harrison said.
