Pacman Jones just returned the overtime kickoff 36 yards to the 43. DeMeco Ryans just stopped Travis Henry after a one-yard gain. Henry left the field.
Glenn Earl was called for holding, giving the Titans a first down at their 49. Chris Brown, the Titans' reserve running back, just broke through for a 16-yard gain to the 35-yard line. The Titans were called for holding, but Brown ran it back to the Houston 40, making it second-and-15.

Texans are a loser organization. Would've bet the farm that they were gonna lose.
Vince Young is a proven winner. Loser organizations select players based on numbers. They use spreadsheets to decide who they keep and who they let go.
Great players are all about the intangibles, and Vince Young is a great player. Carr and Mario Williams ..

What an awesome run to win a ball game..
...
then again...
..the touching the ball on the kick off and giving him the ball on the 40 just makes it too easy for him to do his stuff.
...
.or how about this..
..the defense let him go 60 yards to win a game.
...
..where in all of this is it David Carrs fault for losing the game.
vince Young came thru for his team...
because the Texans defense didn't get the job done...
..not becasue Carr didn't.

...
and one other thing.what about the 2nd to the last possesion of the game where Moulds was clearly hit before the ball got there..

Just makes me sick that Bud Adams is laughing all the way to the bank and even has a chance for the playoffs with a rookie quarterback. Mattress Mac did all he could do for the Texans to pick this guy up in the draft, guess Mac knows a winner when he sees it. Any room for Mac on your payroll McNair?

yeah the but the touchdown shouldn't have counted, Williams was being held by number 76 of the titans. Oh well, maybe we can trade for a number one pick in the draft and pick up Troy Smith, or is he not eligible?

Seems like more proof that management made the wrong pick.
And what a moronic play near the end of regulation to let the ball go after signaling a fair catch. Got stuck on the one yard line instead of the 15 had he caught the ball.
Carr cant seem to get the deep ball if his life depended on it.
Defense obviously has it woes too. And come on dont they know that Vince is a runner? 36 yards right up the middle!

Vince Young put a dagger in the heart of the Texans with that run.
1.
He is human and flawed. But, so are nearly all rookies.
2.
He has the heart of a champion.
It's Vince's heart and drive to win that makes the difference.
It was a great game though.
The Texans hung tough to the very end.

This is getting depressing watching the Texans on Sunday.
Congrats to VY for proving to the Texans who should have been the #1 pick in the draft. You think Kubiak and Mcnair are having 2nd thoughts on there choice. I wonder if VY makes Casselry's top 10 QBs now.
What a minute, I just remembered he help the Texans pass in chosing VY. This game proved to me that David Carr just doesn't have the "IT" factor.
Posted by: Joe at December 10, 2006 03:43 PM
What did you think would happen?
That David Carr would lead his team down the field and score a go ahead TD at the end of regulation? Why didn't the Texans go for it with 2 minutes left on 4th and one. Did Kubiak think they were still in the playoff race?
I said it back when they passed on VY in the draft. Vince Young is the Michael Jordan of Football. He will haunt the Texans like this for the next 15 years.
While we will be looking at a new QB in free agency or the Draft next year, the Titans will be adding a few pieces to make a deep playoff run. Heck, they may even win the next three games and end up in the playoffs this year! VY will win at least 2 Super Bowls in his career.
David Carr will be playing for the Raiders next year.

Hey, John. You keep saying that Kubiak has no confidence in Carr, based on the types of plays he calls in certain situations. Maybe, some of the play calling has to do with the offensive line and the horrible pass protection.
I don't think its fair that all the blame goes to Carr, the O-line has to share some of the responsibility.

Vince just makes plays, it may not always be pretty but you can tell that his teammates know he's gonna make it happen when game is on the line.
Carr played pretty well today no fumbles or interceptions and cannot be blamed for the loss, he may be a good QB someday but he doesn't have "it" and never will, Vince has "it".
Posted by: anthony at December 10, 2006 03:47 PM
General,
Who was the rookie quarterback in this game? The one who took a sack even though he was outside the pocket and could have thrown it out of bounds, and also threw 2 passes even though he was past the line of scrimmage. And he also could only throw dump off and short passes.
Or the other one who threw like a Pro, ran like an All-Pro, and rallied his team to a victory like a SUPER-PRO?
VY will eventually lead his team to many Super Bowls to come! That LEMON of a CARR will only lead the Texans to the ALL-JUNKYARD team!
And to think the Texans could have had the perennial All-Pro quarterback playing for them leading them to so many Super Bowls for the next 12 years! But the Texans think the people of Houston don't know a special hometown talent when we have been seeing it for 7 years!
Posted by: The Private at December 10, 2006 03:48 PM

I'm so happy for Vince Young - storybook ending to the game.
If there is a lesson to be learned from the Texans, it's if there is ever another NFL expansion team, they should NOT pick a quarterback with their first pick.
Build up your offensive and defensive lines, and use a journeyman quarterback the first few years.
Posted by: Craig at December 10, 2006 03:51 PM

.how sweet it is. I have to give David Carr credit, he didnt hurt his team today.

The decision to take a knee show the lack of confidence in Carr.
The Titans had better field position most of the day, so OT heavily favored them if they won the toss, especially because of Bironos' range. Vince is also famous for coming alive when the pressure is on, another plus for Tennessee.
The Titans also have the more potent offense. Even if they lost the toss, I feel it still favored them.
In OT, it usually comes down to who wins the toss.
Kubiak chose a 50/50 chance rather than trust Carr to take a shot down the field and try to get into field-goal range. We have the #1 receiver in the league and a kicker who appeared to be "feelin' it" today. What's there to lose except a game that you were likely to lose in OT anyway?
All today showed was that the coaching staff doesn't believe in David Carr. Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, the interception prone Brett Favre, and even, perhaps, Vince Young, would not be asked to take a knee in that situation.

i think it is time to put the plug on the david carr experiment. i have backed him up, but the events this season have shown that he is not the man to lead our team to where we want it to be. the front office and the fans should admit past failures but move on and build our team together.
it is a trying time for texans nation, but we must work together and have a clear vision of where we want to go and who can take us there.
Posted by: luis at December 10, 2006 03:54 PM
Out of all the losses the Texans have suffered, this one is the one that stings the most. For David Carr, for Gary Kubiak, for McNair, for the city, and especially for the real fans (like myself), who would never dream of booing this team or rooting against this team.
If you look at the way we lost this game, it definantly is the absolutte lowpoint in franchise history. I don't know what this franchise should do right now.

Posted by: Eddie B at December 10, 2006 04:04 PM
Well, not sure what the heck Kubiak is smoking these days, but you got to try to win instead of playing not to lose, especially when you were 4 - 8.
No doubt, the VinceLovers will blame David Carr for this loss, but that is totally stupid, not just misguided. Gary has got to try and go for it..
his QB had played just fine all day and they had enough time to at least attempt to get up the field. This loss belongs (special teams not withstanding) on GK. and PS.

Why didn't the officials review the pass/fumble by VY?
???
I thought the game should have ended then. It was a fumble!!
I have never said a thing about Kubiaks coaching before. BUT today was horrible!!
!
3-and-13 and you run the ball!!
At least throw the ball to give the guys a chance.
You have the ball on the seven :53 secs left and you kneel the ball.
You can not say all the right things to the media and fans but during the game your coaching and decisions are saying something else.
Actions speak louder than words Kubiak.
When asked if David can be the QB for this team you always reply, "Absolutely" BUT during the game you don't give him the opportunity to pass on 3rd and 13. With :53 on the clock you kneel.
"You play to win the game!" you don't play not to lose. The same thing can be said about coaching.
You coach to win instead of coaching not to lose!!!
!!
Its clear to me that David has been coached to go to the check downs.
Let David throw down the field give big and fast #80 a chance to make a play.
Coach lost this game.

Its very frustrating to consider that my home town team could have drafted Vince but let him go.
I cant help but wonder how much the aggie-vibe that infected the Texans from Day 1 had to do with the decision.
Maybe McNair didnt understand before that the aggies have never won anything and putting your faith in them to make decisions for you is never a good strategy. McNair probably gets it now, but too late. And there will never be another chance.
Just like there was only one Earl Campbell, there will only be one Vince Young.

Yep, but for awhile there, even into the 4th quarter, that 24-13 Texans win was looking pretty good.
I can't help but think the Texans bigwigs are kicking themselves over passing up Vince. But, all that's over now. It's on to the Super Bowl.

Heart. Some of the Texans have it, but unfortunately many others don't. There is a difference in preferring to win and passionately desiring to win.
The coaching staff needs to find out which group each player fits in and get rid of those that fit in the former.
I have defended Carr, but must admit that I was wrong. I do not see him leading the team to excellence.

i guess we should blame carr for this loss..
...
but i won't. he played well and his defense let him down. how in the world do you allow vince to run up the middle of the field like that in a critical part of the game?
this defense blew it against buffalo and they below it again today. games are won and lost in the 4th quarter and both QB's lead their teams to critical drives. its sad that our defense can't be called upon to make a play or get a critical stop when the game is on the line.
"david has no heart" thats a bunch of BS! i saw a player trying to compete and help his team win. david gave his best out there.
he made two bad throws but he was trying to make a play. isn't that what you nutty fans and reporters have been complpaining about all year!
david didn't lose this game.
..vince won it.
its as simple as that. i hope people can appreciate what david did today and be proud that he gave all he had to help his team wiin!

Vince is a winner. Carr isn't.
The Texans deluded themselves and became infatuated with Mario's "measurables" during the draft process. They are dumb. Vince won in high school.
Vince won at UT. Vince is winning in the pros.
You cannot honestly tell me that the Titans are better across-the-board offensively.
Vince has taken the proverbial chicken s**t and has turned it into chicken salad.
I wish the Texans had won, but if they were going to lose, at least Vince did it.

Didn't we all know it would come down to this?
Vince Young and his cape making the game winning play. Bob McNair and Gary Kubiak should have that last play etched in their minds for quite some time. I can't help but imagining that somewhere Charlie Casserly is having a nice laugh.
I know Bud Adams is.

Oh by the way David Carr sucks, and so does Andy Petite. Do you think that the Yankee's could give Carr 16mil also?
Maybe they could trade him to the Bosox, they will take anybody who the Yankees have interest in.

For the first time, I found myself rooting against my home team, the Texans and I have a sneaky feeling it's gonna happen everytime in the future the two teams meet.
Vince Young was doing things I heard pundits say he will not be able to do for 4 years. Is there crow on the menu tonight for the Texans office staff?

Mario is HURT!!!
!!!
!!!
!
Most of you would be on your couch crying like little babies with that injury. He has been playing on ONE LEG for weeks now.
Grow up people!
Vince Young is good..
.yay! Seeing as i care about our team i will look at them.
They remain a team lacking in talent yet ravaged by injuries. This is why they remain inconsistent. They still have trouble putting together a good game across the board in all facets.
This game was a good reflection of that.
David Carr played well today. Vince Young is a good QB of course but if Carr plays like he did today every week then he won't be the problem.
The threw past the line of scrimmage thing is the one big mistake...
.other then that he had a solid game in a run-oriented offense.
Posted by: Chris at December 10, 2006 04:25 PM
So what do you think Mr.
McClain? Yeah i realize that Young won them the game but that happens. I thought that Carr played pretty well for the most part in a pressure packed game.
Yes...
the Texans protected him by running the ball a lot and not asking him to do a ton. That is what we should have been doing all season.
Also.
..I contend that running the clock out when we did shows lack of confidence in the whole offense.
We don't pass protect well enough in that situation to do anything else.

I am a died in the wool Longhorn Hater. Back when VY decided to go to UT I said he would sit on th ebench. Well we all know what he did there.
Before the 2005 season I said VY can't do a lot of things but one thing he does is Win. He did it again today. Props to him and cinders to the Texan Brain Trust that passed on him.
Mario Williams could be the next Mean Joe Greene or Elvin Bethea and he will be a bust when it is noted that he was picked before the next Joe Montana or Terry Bradshaw.
Worst of all Bad Hair Bud has the last laugh.

Talk about biting the hand that feeds you. We wouldn't have NFL football if not for him. And I don't care if it's been 5 years of bad football.
Having a team is better than not having a team. Period. End of discussion

It was Kubiak's decision to take Mario instead of Vince.
Fire Kubiak. It was incredibly dumb.
I think Mario drew a penalty in the first quarter.
Otherwise he was a no-show.
Vince skipped his senior year at UT, so he's extra young. That means he will be doing this in Reliant every year for the next decade or so.
Hey Kubiak...
most of the fans said: "Draft Vince." ..
You shoulda listened to them.
Posted by: Ralph at December 10, 2006 04:28 PM
Inside the 2 minute warning, 4th Qtr, VY cocks his arm back, is stripped for a FUMBLE; this is recovered by Ryans, but ruled an incomplete pass.
DirecTV (I'm in Oregon) showed 2 replays, very easy to see it was a fumble, as there was no forward throw with the ball in VY's hand; it was stripped as a fumble.
The refs DID NOT REVIEW???
???
???
WHY NOT???
???
I was told by my friend in Houston they DID NOT SHOW A REPLAY? Very hard to accept that type of call in a VERY crucial situation..
.I thought the reviews were put in to make the game called the best as possible?
There seemed to be many defensive pass interference calls on the Texans too.
I certainly have to give it to VY - he came through in the clutch; what a run and GREAT blocking down field by the Titans.
WOW. Still in shock on this one, but this ain't the first time the Texans have put me in the type of shock.
I hope you give me your opinion on the play in question.

I think this will go down as the Pearl Harbor for the Texans organization. How they react to this is going to say a lot; the organization can wimper and continue doing what it is doing, or it can begin to react and really understand what it will take to win in this league. Personally, even as a VY fan, UT alum, etc.
, the organization must somehow get past this, and get past making today decisions based on what happened in the past or the current money invested (ie., Carr).
I think the organization from top to bottom (including McNair) needs to be re-examined.
Plain and simple. Not a Dan Reeves thumbs up, either, but a real re-examination. I hope the silent partners get McNair on the hotseat and really start making some noise.
I also think the Kubiak experiment is also one that needs to be closely re-examined. Not to say that he must go, yet, but I think this team needs experienced leadership at the top, and we currently do not have that.
How much this game has to sting.
Imagine a monday night game in 1978, but instead of Earl Campbell running for the Oilers, he was drafted and running for the Dolphins. Imagine an Earl Campbell running 80 yards down the far sideline in a Dolphins uniform late in the game to clinch victory. Luv Ya Blue would have never taken hold.
Today's result may have set the franchise years back in terms of how the fans will embrace the organization. Had VY ran his 39 yards in a Texans uniform, against the most hated of natural rivals, the city would have been abuzz for YEARS from this one play.
I think the organization has been so rooted in it's clean cut image that it is pathetic on the field.
Not to say we need the TOs or the PacMan Jones' of the world on our team, but I think the organization should re-examine it's overall image on the field. We need someone with heart and personality, it isn't Carr, it really isn't Kubiak either. The top owners in this league know how to win, and will do whatever it takes to do so.
The time is now...
do we want to be the next Arizona Cardinals of the NFL. Without some changes, that is exactly where we are headed (or basically, already there).

And not one Carr supporter has a thing to say.
This is beautiful. Seriously though, What Vince did today, words cant express. I tivo'd this game, and Ive been watching that play for the past 30 minutes.
It goes without saying what should have been done in the draft, but now this just stings that much more .
Kirk Herbstreit even took a shot at Houston last night staying city of Cleveland, do not make the mistake the city of Houston made.
David Carr will be a good QB someday, but it wont be in this city.
And to echo the many, Vince gets to rub it in our faces for a very long time...

What a great "football decision" we made by drafting Mario Williams over Vince Young and Reggie Bush.
Now that we have been swept by the Titans and Vince Young, it was CLEARLY the wrong decision.
IndeVINCEable!
Posted by: Andy at December 10, 2006 04:33 PM
Last night Bob McNair had a terrible nightmare: He dreamed that Vince Young raced 39 yards in overtime, past Mario Williams, to win the game for the Titans.
Bob is so glad today that didn't happen. Good thing David Carr threw the ball downfield on that last drive and the Texans scored a touchdown in regulation rather than settling for a field goal and going to overtime. What's that?
It wasn't a dream? Oh, crap!

Everyone is laughing and piling on Houston.
Fox's Tery Bradshaw, Jimmy Johnson, and Howie Long stating that Houston really blew it and how fast Vince was coming along (6-4) now as a rookie starter. I cannot wait to see what the insider bloggers that work for Texan and Astro management come up with now. Mel Kiper, the top draft expert in the country, feels strongly that the Texans should have drafted Young or Bush.
But over the next week, we will hear that every national expert and media type is wrong. Some of you bloggers will continue to defend to the death that the Texans are on the right path and did not blow two number 1 draft choices in 2002 and 2006!
By the way, the next two games will be against a very mad New England team followed by another angry Indianapolis team.
4-11 going into the last game against Cleveland.

The Texan organization should hang its head in shame and publicly offer an apology for the terrible pick they made. I was a 4 year season ticket holder, but when they chose Mario "who?" Williams, I had to let them go.
Great pick Mr. McNair. This is a nightmare that you alone created.

I do wonder at what point someone will be held accountable or accept responsibility for the decision to forego VY or Bush in the draft.
Conventional wisdom seems to suggest that it was Kubiak's call--the prideful belief that he could resurrect Carr's career and one would have to believe that he now regrets the decision. With every moment that VY has like today, or Bush last week, the choice of Mario Williams over these "playmakers" continues to evoke memories of Sam Bowie, the "Curse of the Bambino" and other such monumental personnel blunders. Understanding that Kubiak inherited a team in woeful condition, I do wonder how this draft, when coupled with performances like VY's today, might shorten the "grace period" that Coach Kubiak might otherwise have expected to receive.
Posted by: willie at December 10, 2006 04:41 PM
General, you were right years ago. Before the first season, you said that you wished that the Texans would plan to be really bad for about three years to accumulate top draft choices. If they had taken your advice at that time, they might have then drafted for defence, i.
e. Julias Peppers, waiting to draft a young quarterback as the opportunity developed. Unfortunately, just as the Saints did years ago with Archie Manning, they forced a young quarterback onto a poor team, wasting his career.
David Carr is a solid professional quaterback who is shell-shocked by years of unrelenting pressure.
Posted by: Olaf at December 10, 2006 04:41 PM
Who thinks Mario Williams got close enough to even be considered for holding. That is funny.
You know what the officials were doing at the end of that game? Same thing Mario and every person that had the blessing of seeing THE RUN.
They were saying WOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!
After Kirk Gibson hit the Natural shot to beat Eckersley the announcer kept saying over and over what the officals and the world were saying.

I'll never root for the Texans again.

Since the Cleveland game they have been nothing short of a disaster. I am a Texans fan, and I was a Oiler fan before them and through all the bad times from about 1976 til 1996 with the Oilers I cared. I don't have the same care for the Texans it is sad.

Couple of things: why does Reliant Stadium's turf continue to look like a soggy municipal golf course even after changes were reportedly made to fix that problem? Both teams had trouble w/ footing all day again.
Embarrassing after 4.5 years in an otherwise great venue.
Vince Young = winner (all he does is win lead; may not always be pretty or he may not do well on the Wonderlic Test - so what!
)
Texans franchise = incompetent decision-making have set them back so many times now back to square one. All involved (top to bottom) should share in the blame, including the owner McNair, Casserley, Capers, Kubiak, etc. Rick Smith is on the clock too.
Start over now please.

Give me a break. I'm sick of all of these TU homers making VY out to be god.
He is a terrible QB.
10 TDs, and 10 INTs
And if you look at VY's numbers, he obviously didn't win those games single-handedly.
I was so glad to see my Cowboys put that thug in his place.
45-14 with Bledsoe at QB; I'd love to see the Cowboys smack VY around again, with the 'Boys on top now.
VY isn't going to the playoffs. VY isn't going to win a Super Bowl (He better enjoy that tainted National Championship).
And the Texans are losers, with or without VY. I almost wish VY was drafted by the Texans, so he could catch the type of beat down Carr takes on a weekly basis.

Am I wrong as a texan fan to have rooted for Carr and the texans to lose? I know the only way the texans will get rid of Carr is if he loses to Vince twice, which he's done..
..and if he fails to continue to win games, which he is doing.

You got to admit that Houston blew it big time.
First they obviously did a terrible job evaluating VY. Second the team needs a heart, someone that won't take losing for anything. Someone who wants to have all the pressure on his shoulders.
Big mistake passing on VY. Of course the final point is the obvious - Houston/Texas loves this guy - make that wild about his guy. No matter what problems they mistakenly thought he would have, this guy would have given the fans someone to rally around.
A team needs passion - from within and from it's fans. That is the element that the Texans overlooked in their draft.

I'd like to send the one from Napolean Dynomite to them...
that would make me feel a little better...
LoL

This game made me sick to my stomach. How I wished I could invent a time machine and go back in time to have the Texans select Vince Young. Unfortunately, that ain't happening.
The Texans are and always will be my team, but I'm becoming a HUGE Vince Young fan. Vince Young is the type of quarterback that Michael Vick wishes he were. This is his rookie year!
Barring some catastophic injury, he's only going to get better and better. In my opinon, we're witnessing the next great QB to come along in the lines of Montana, Marino, Elway, Brady, and Manning. I've never seen a rookie QB with ice water in his veins the way VY has.
The Texans front office gave the fans of Houston the bird when they passed this guy to stick with Ken Doll as the QB. Great choice going with Mario. How poetic is it that he isn't even the best defensive rookie on his own team.
This stomach ache won't go away until next year when the Texans end up drafting Chris Leak in the first round.

A good thing will tomorrow--I will donate my Texans polo shirt and cap to charity. Bob and Charley have been proven wrong once again.
VY is a winner and Carr is a solid citizen but not a NFL caliber quarterback due to Charley not placing quality people around him. Carr needs a new place in two years after we draft Kolb and groom/place quality people around him and rejected offensive linemen like McKinney.

Before you order that bust for Canton for "De-MEAK-0 Ryans, you might want to tell him that when you are unblocked and meet a 200 pound running back head on in the hole, you might want to tackle him instead of bouncing off like a pinball and letting him score. You might also want to tell De-MEAK-o that when you blitz a running quarterback, it is generally a good idea to tackle him instead of letting him run right by you for a 39 yard game clinching touchdown.

Vince wins the game.
McNair writes game checks to Carr.
It will takes years to salvage this mess. Oh wait!
I am presuming the Texans will make better draft decisions in the future ...
make that decades!

"We have to figure out a way to stop Peyton Manning, that's why we drafted Mario Williams" - McNair
So um..
McNair...
.How are we going to stop Young?!
HAHAHA...
LMAO

High-school:best ever. College: best ever. NFL: I dont know, but he reminds me of footballs' Michael Jordan.
All tangeables out the window; he's gonna beat you!

I would love to say something original about the Texans but everything has been said. There is nothing left to say.
All I can do is to continue to support them and wait for next year and hope that next year is the first step forward after five years of stepping backward.

Who can we dump this franchise off on?

.
.. and they said VY couldn't win in the NFL with his legs.
Garbage!
I can't believe there are people still defending carr. carr didn't lose the game, but he sure as hell didn't do anything to win it!
First, let me say hi to legendary carrlosers. Guys like Dan in League City, Rusty, MoCity Madman, how are you guys doing now? Mo and Rusty, I might have mispelled a word, but at least I had sense to know a winner.
I guess you'll find another reason for the team's loss.
Second, that was the first game this season the Texans played well in all aspects of the game. Well, except of course carr.
The run game was impressive, the defense was spectacular at times, special teams was solid. The Texans actually played a solid game.
I'm a VY guy and I'm happy the Titans won.
I can honestly say that those Texans played with heart and desire today.
No hard feelings Texans. Us VY guys just wanted to show our disaproval of the Texans arrogance.
Oh yeah, WOW!!!
It had to be VY to end the game.

I just threw up. This is as sick as I was after Buffalo-Oiler game.
This may be worse because the future is so utterly bleak and what could been was nirvana.

I think the Williams instead of Young draft move is up there with some seriously bad decisions in history like..
...
...
...
..
The people of Troy deciding to roll the wooden horse into the city.
The Oilers not running out the clock when they led Buffalo 35-3 in the 3rd quarter of a playoff game.
Maybe it's the water that they use to mix the Kubiak kool-aid?

The most amazing thing is that Vince Young (well actually Bob McNair and his moronic 'brain trust') has turned so many stabbed-in-the-back-by-chickenspit-Bud Houstonians into bury the hatchet Titans fans.
Unfreakin believable, I can't think of any way that an owner could have screwed it up more in Houston. There is still a chance that the Texans, with a few years of good moves, could win this native Houstonian back, but I'll bet my house that they won't be capable of overcoming their previous mind-boggling stupidity. McNair and Casserly have turned the Texans into the NFL's biggest laughingstock.
Hey McNair, I'm sure you have a fat ego and think that you are oh so wiser and more shrewd than most. Yet now the talk is that even Snyder and Bidwell are better owners. Maybe you can buy the Saints, since they will forever be grateful for your gift (stolen by you from Houstonians.
) If there was any justice the stadium deal would be terminated for non-performance and fraud by inducement.

He made it look so easy..
..you know, what so special about vince young he is so poised and focused when under pressure he doesnt feel like hes under pressure, he actually starts to get on fire.
He just looked so relaxed and calm, the crowd here at reliant got pretty loud down the stretch and to me loud crowds, pressure, whatever.. doesnt effect VY thats whats so unique about this guy, and for david carr, his performance in my eyes is still weak, looking shaky in the pocket, overthrowing and underthrowing the ball.
..man carr, hes just not good.
..Im still very sad and hurt on why the texans didnt pick VY.
..WHY!
...
.I bet you anything VY wins a superbowl before David Carr does, matter of fact david will never win one..
..WHY!
!

We need to start from scratch first we need to draft Kevin Kolb second we need to change the name of the texans to the Oilers somehow we need to convince Bud Adams to give us the naming rights.
KEVIN KOLB KEVIN KOLB!
!!

The one thing the Texans organization could have accomplished by drafting Vince Young is solidifying the Texans in the Houston market and stealing the Austin, San Antonio, Corpus Christi, and Rio Grande Valley markets away from the Cowboys.
The real winner other than the Titans on draft day was Jerry Jones.

FIRE KUBIAK.
THE ULTIMATE AGGIE JOKE.
Posted by: at December 10, 2006 05:29 PM
Ok, we lost the worst way we could have lost. Carr played a good game, and the defense blew it on the final play. Im still a Texans fan, and will be.
The person responsible for the first pick was casserly, the idiot takes a pick and quits his job, what a prick! Its not the teams fault, its not carr's fault, its not the fans fault. Go TEXANS!
!
-PS- this kind of talk is what got the oilers moving to Tennesse in the first place. Keep it up guys, soon you'll be cheering for the cowboys.
.. ewwww

We were discussing the game, and remembering the Cowboys when they were winning all their rings.
Vince Young showed that he is probably not a great quarterback, but he is probably a great player,,, a playmaker. Will he last running in the NFL or will he get squished, who knows but he is fun. That said, the Texans lack the playmakers who deliver like the Cowboys had.
Michael Irvin would have made the first down, and that would have given Aikman a chance.. doesn't happen here.
It is so stupid that not only did they not take Young, but even stupider, they did not take Bush. DC would love to have a playmaker on his team to work with. Will it happen here?
