A KATHERINE woman will face court today after repeatedly hitting her de facto in the head with a rock at the weekend.
It was the second time she had assaulted her 41-year-old partner in a month.
The man had to be rushed to hospital with minor head injuries.
He was released yesterday.
The incident happened on Katherine Tce, at the rear of the Oasis Shopping Centre, at 10.50pm on Saturday.
Police said the 32-year-old woman allegedly hurled a large rock at the man, knocking him to the ground.
They said she then picked up a smaller rock and smashed him over the head with it several times.
She was arrested and has been held in custody until she appears in a Katherine Court today.
