Defenseman Erik Johnson, the Blues' first-round pick in this year's entry draft, was named to the U.S.

national junior team Friday. Johnson, 18, the first overall selection in the draft, has helped Minnesota to a 13-1-3 record and No. 1 ranking.

He's plus-12 and ranks first in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association among freshman defensemen with 13 points on one goal and 12 assists.

-- START REST --> - Blues forward Dallas Drake was suspended for two games by the NHL for hitting Red Wings defenseman Brett Lebda in the head Thursday night. No penalty was assessed on the play. Lebda wasn't injured or cut, and he completed the game.

- With a 6-1 victory over the Capitals on Friday night, the Ducks matched their season best for scoring. It was their sixth game with six goals.
