NATALBANY - At first, it looked like an Amtrak passenger train had hit a car Thursday morning at the state highway 1064 railroad crossing. Seconds later, a sniper aboard the train fired a shot that hit a deputy who had responded to help. The accident scene turned into a crime scene.
