The Blue Jackets played more of their guaranteed contracts, and to good effect, in Nationwide Arena last night. They defeated the Carolina Hurricanes 4-2 before an announced crowd of 13,297. The feelgood exhibition game was hampered only by another injury.
Center Alexander Svitov was given a try in the middle of one of the top lines and suffered a shoulder injury in the third period. Svitov, in the background since he was acquired from Tampa Bay in the Darryl Sydor trade some 32 months ago, was emerging this training camp.
