I did two years of a music performance degree and then swapped to composition for three years, then did a post-grad in film music. Now I work in the film and television music industries.

Lots of writing and orchestrating and preparing sheet music, but not much time for playing or performing.
I was a bit of a nervous performer anyway, but I do miss it a bit.

Llamas never pay attention to what lefties say, for good historic and personal reasons, but we do watch very closly what lefties do based on their failed ideology. So it pays well to know what the left's ideology really is based on history.
The days of JFK, some 45 years ago, cutting taxes and pledging to the world that America will pay any price in blood and treasure to help the oppessed of the world become free to enjoy democratically inspired liberty, are long gone.

JFK would be a John McCain Republican today. The party of the left is now controlled by the ever moving to farther left of Pelosi, Rangle, Kerry, Murtha and Clinton (the Hillary brand even though Willy is a twin).
These new lefties, unlike JFK, have serious hate for business and the rich exemplified by business owers of large, medium and small businesses.

They have never voted for a tax cut for anyone rich or poor - not ever - even though they claim they will only take away the Bush tax cuts for the rich and give them to the middle class. History is betting against that from ever happening despite their vigorous claims otherwise. They simply cannot help themselves, have no shame and can never be satisfied.

Take it to the bank. If the lkeft comes to power, all taxes will go up and up some more while the econimoc prosperity and general welfare for all will down and down further.
What history tell us is that they will raise taxes of companies and all Americans alike claiming that it is required to pay down the shrinking deficit or some other such nonsense that will easily fool the weak minded.

Actually, they need the wealth sucked from the businesses and rich they hate so much to redistribute it with additional government spending on those they need to keep them in power.
Yes, the left's plan is to take from those that create jobs, pay wages, pay for healthcare, vacations, education, retirement, food, housing and the happiness the rest of non business owners enjoy. It is the rich business owners who employ the rest with jobs that allow others, through nthers through their generosity to pursue happiness in the greatest of all countries ever devise by man - America.

It has always been so by the way. The money confiscated will be spent on those that do none of the above - those that create nothing contribiuting to the general welfare of all.
You will notice that the left will claim that only the rich are benefiting in today's economic prosperity and the general welfare of the rest of the all is nowhere to be found.

Pay no attention to their non fact based retoric, as usual, because the fact is those that create the economic security and opportunity to pursue happiness for the rest has always been the responsibility, through generosity, of the rich and wealthy business owners. It is no wonder that gerosity is the greatest of all character attributes to have and hold dear. Churchill was wrong after the Battle of Brittian when he said that never have so many owed so much to so few.

Do not forget what all llamas know, that your financial and physical security can never be trusted to those blinded by their un-Godly, socialist ideology focused on punishing those responsible for the general welfare of all.
Yes, it doesn't get better than this but it can get much worse. Stay home on election day and you will see what llamas know all too well.

Where would you be with a welfare or unemployment check instead of a pay check for a job well done? See how easy it is?
Yes, I have been a business owner, not always successfully, nearly my whole life.

I know of no law that says I have to employ you though. But, I also know that if I don't, there are few others who will hire you and we all will suffer in the end as a result.
I also suspect God made me generously responsible and thankfully a llama in the first place through Christ's fine example of leadership and generosity.

He saved me from my younger, way more liberal nature of lazy self indulgence. He can save you too.

What a beautiful instrument. We had a solo harpist at our wedding -- that was the only music we had. Also, we were supposed to have an outdoor wedding where they would release a flock of white doves when we kissed.

But it rained that day (only day it rained in San Diego that year!), so they brought the doves inside and put them in these tall ornate cages near the altar. So in our wedding video, you hear the harp and the cooing of doves.

Very romantic...

But on a more serious note: I was planning to visit US next year to meet my old workmates and friends in different parts of US. Yesterday I decided to cancel my trip.

Why?
I am not a US citizen. One of my friends I was planning to visit is a muslim.

After approval of "Military Commissions Act" I have decided that I can't visit her because I realized that just visiting a muslim might end up having me incarcerated indefinitely and tortured. As non-citizen I would have no legal rights in US soil but I could be taken in custody and denied hearing indefinitely. She called me back and said that her sister who lives in Singapore has made similar decision.

USA has decided to give powrs of a despot to its President and thus effectively become a mirror image of the people it says it opposes. It has denied even basic human rights from people who are not citizens and knowing this administration even US own ctizens will be endangered.
Conservative christians are wailing about freedoms i.

e. right to gay bashing and inciting violence against gays as ultimate religious right, but couln't care less if people are being detained without a shred of evidence, indefinitely and tortured by their government.

Also, even during wartime when additional security burdens are placed on us all, America remains the most free country on earth. Especially for gay men just seeking a good time with old friends.

Although I was in this state of ignorance I didn't hate those that testified to another way which they recommended to me as better and more excellent and as the message of Jesus Christ.

But it wasn't so much through words that I was convinced as through power and experience when someone prayed for me with a divine efficacy.
