There was no affair, says Evans' nanny
People in brief
Alison Clinton, who worked as a nanny for Sara Evans, denies the country singer's allegation that she had an affair with Evans' husband, Craig Schelske.
Clinton, who now goes by her married name of Clinton Lee, said she did not have sex with Schelske. "Absolutely not.

He was never more than an absolute gentleman with me. He never once made a pass at me or put me in any kind of compromising position, nothing."
Clinton Lee also offered to sign an affidavit and said she would consider a multimillion-dollar lawsuit against the Academy of Country Music's reigning female vocalist if Evans does not release a public retraction.

She said she learned of the allegations when Schelske called her Thursday evening. She has not spoken with Evans since the divorce filing.

"I contacted her Thursday - text-messaged, e-mailed and left her voicemail. I think I just thought in a perfect world she would call me back and say, 'This is a mistake. I am sorry.

' Because we have gotten in disagreements before, but they were resolved really quickly. I thought this was a misunderstanding or a misquote. I just couldn't believe it.

I honestly thought she would call me back. Nothing. I am just sitting here left wondering.
