Go French: Escargot, a lovely little French bistro in Fort Worth's Cultural District, will host a drinks-and-nibbles fundraiser to benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Proceeds from the $40 event will go to research for the fight against breast cancer.

Top chefs, one dinner: One of the state's great annual gastronomy showcases moves from Austin to Dallas this year as Stephan Pyles hosts a fundraiser dinner for the Wine Food Foundation of Texas at his namesake restaurant Sunday evening.

Pyles, just named "Chef of the Year" by Esquire magazine, will join with Monica Pope of t'afia in Houston, Kevin Maxey of Craft in Dallas, Mark Chapman of the Driskill Hotel in Austin and Avner Samuel of Aurora in Dallas to create a five-course dinner extravaganza. $175.
