Let s keep it real -- most of us journalists aspire to one day become great screenwriters, novelists, and creative storytellers. Therefore, it s not surprising that the media can often sway someone s true life into a work of fiction. Back in the day, journalism was strictly objective but times have changed and now we are in an era where the media often tells the "James Frey" version of real life events.
This is one of the reasons why celebrities struggle with the media. Well, that, and the fact that some of the photographers are caught hanging from trees, snapping shots into their private bedrooms.

According to Madonna, David was ill when she met him and is still being treated for pneumonia. As for the recent controversy over David s father not knowing about the adoption, Madonna said, "I believe that the press is manipulating this information out of him. I believe at this point in time, he s been terrorized by the media.
They have asked him things, repeatedly, and they have put words in his mouth. They have spun a story that is completely false."
"I understand that gossip and telling negative stories sells newspapers," stated Madonna.
"But I think for me, I m disappointed because it discourages other people from doing the same thing -- for anybody who had the idea that they, too, would like to open their home and give a life to a child living in an orphanage who might possibly not live past the age of five."
"I beg all of those people to go to
To see open sewages everywhere. To see what I saw. It is a state of emergency.
As far as I m concerned, the adoption laws have to be changed to suit that state of emergency."
Amen! I m all for rescuing suffering children at any cost.
This entire circus surrounding Madonna s adoption has been horrifying. It is the pedophiles, human trafficking organizations and other child abusing criminals who deserve the hounding of the media, not a woman who is trying to rescue little children and make their lives better.
Moving on.
.. another person not too thrilled with the media is Heather Mills McCartney who is suing two newspapers over "false, damaging and immensely upsetting" statements.
With continuous reports on her ongoing divorce from Paul McCartney, Mills McCartney is being "stalked by press, photographers, who congregate outside her home and chase after her in cars -- regardless of her safety or the safety of her daughter," reported McCartney s spokesperson.
Bottom line - the media is forcing people over the edge to get a great story.
