London, England (AHN) - Troubled rocker Pete Doherty, also known as the bad boy in the British rock scene, has signed up with trendy Manchester label Gio-Goi fashion chain to help in the design of a wide range of clothing for a new line.
The deal between Doherty and Gio-Goi came after supermodel Kate Moss, the rumored fiancee of the rocker, landed an agreement with British high street fashion chain top shop to design a collection of clothes.
The front man for the rock band Babyshambles, who has been struggling with drug problems and trouble with the law, will be wearing the brand's exclusive design at a scheduled performance in a still unidentified London location before Christmas.
Gio-Goi co-founder Anthony Donnelly said, "Pete looks fantastic as a model. We are very excited ..
. we look forward to having Pete's influence as a rock icon in the design process."
Gio-Goi was a cult fashion label and a big hit in the electronic music scene in the 1990s dressing British rockers like The Rolling Stones, Happy Mondays, Oasis, New Order, and Primal Scream.
It was re-launched in 2005.
