Madonna adopts son from Malawi

LILONGWE, Malawi, Oct. 13 (UPI) -- Pop diva Madonna has adopted a 13-month-old son from the southeastern African country of Malawi, filing her adoption papers on Thursday, Extra reported.
Madonna celebrated the adoption of her new son, David, by dancing at a local orphanage in the poverty-stricken nation.

The pop star has recently done extensive charity work for orphans in the country.
Extra reported that Madonna s charity helped build the orphanage at which she celebrated the adoption.
