HAMILTON, Ohio Ohio Republicans trailing or in close races say they can make a comeback in next week's elections by mobilizing voters the way they did in 2004 for President George W. Bush. But Democrats plan to match those efforts, with major help from labor unions.

Republicans in Ohio and many other states are struggling to hold onto power in Congress in the Nov. 7 vote, with polls showing the electorate dissatisfied with Bush's conduct of the Iraq war, the economy and congressional scandals.
