Police have searched the Samoan house of Labour MP Taito Phillip Field.
Mr Field is on leave on full pay from Parliament while police investigate his involvement with people seeking help with immigration claims.
The Samoan Supreme Court issued search warrants on Friday morning for Samoan police to search Mr Field's home in Apia.
New Zealand Police National Headquarters said the aim was to take photographs of the interior.
The house in question was tiled by a Thai man, Sunan Siriwan, whom Mr Field assisted with an immigration appeal.
Neither Mr Field nor his lawyer has been available for comment.
