Manchester businessman Paul Ashbee discovered the sheet of paper, bearing the lyrics of Live Forever in Liam Gallagher's scrawl, tucked away at his home.
During the early 1990s, Paul employed Liam as a car valet and introduced the singer to his childhood friend Bonehead, a guitarist. After Liam's brother Noel joined the band, they became international stars.

During the early years, Paul remained close to Oasis and attended their rehearsals and gigs.
He often cleared the room after practices. One day he picked up the lyrics sheet, put it away and promptly forgot it.
It was only when he heard the Gallagher brothers discussing what had happened to their early lyrics in an interview that he began searching through his memorabilia.
Paul said: "When the band was making the album, Noel used to arrive with the lyrics on paper and his brother would copy them out and learn to sing them. I used to collect what was left behind in the studio and kept most of it.
"I always knew Oasis would make it big.
I had completely forgotten about this sheet, but had a look after I watched that documentary. I couldn't believe it when I found them.
"The actual lyrics differ slightly from what appeared on the tune, but this must be a real collector's item.
"
Similar finds for other big bands have fetched thousands of pounds at auction.
But Paul, who is still close friends with Bonehead but has fallen out with the Gallaghers, says he has no plans to cash-in on his discovery.
He said: "There is no way I would part with these lyrics - they are the kind of thing I want to pass on to my children.
"Oasis are one of the biggest bands in history and I am proud to have been involved. This paper won't be turning up on any internet auction sites."
