The political field is a lot like middle school: There rsquo;s side-taking, rumor-spreading and, most importantly, name-calling. Big thanks to Republican senatorial candidate John Spencer for supposedly keeping the tradition alive. As reported in the New York Daily News, Spencer allegedly implied that his Democratic contender, Hillary Clinton, was ugly back in the day.
ldquo; You ever see a picture of her back then? Whew, rdquo; Spencer allegedly told the reporter. ldquo;I don rsquo;t know why Bill married her.
rdquo; The paper claimed that Spencer also said Clinton had had ldquo;millions of dollars rdquo; in plastic surgery, a claim Clinton denies. Spencer vehemently denies the Daily News rsquo; report, but the paper stands by the story. Clinton currently has no reason to worry; she still leads Spencer in the polls.
And, Hill, ldquo;ugly rdquo; comments coming from a guy who rsquo;s more pockmarked than Ray Liotta really shouldn rsquo;t faze you.
