LOS ANGELES, Oct. 17 (UPI) -- Singer James Blunt has signed on to a Doctors Without Borders special next month at Los Angeles House of Blues to help raise funds for the humanitarian group.
The 32-year-old crooner, who has been a notable supporter of the international organization, will perform Nov.
16 at the House of Blues. Blunt will continue his philanthropic endeavors through a series of auctions on his ongoing U.S.
tour, an Atlantic Records news release said.
The "No Bravery" singer will auction off individual meet and greets with fans at each stop on the tour, all in an effort to raise funds for the medical foundation.
Doctors Without Borders assists countries in need of emergency medical care by sending appropriate medical professionals to help those ravaged by war, epidemics, disasters or simply by a lack of available health care.
The release said to date, Blunt s auctions have helped raise $70,000 for the organization and will likely raise much more before his tour concludes in Las Vegas on Nov. 18.
